Congress to hold an extended executive meeting
HYDERABAD: The Congress will hold an extended executive meeting during the next visit of AICC in-charge, Manikrao Thakre. The three-day visit starting on January 20, will also witness his meeting with senior leaders who could not get the opportunity of one-to-one interaction during his first visit.
According to party sources, the extended executive meeting on January 21
which is going to be held after more than five months will witness the presence of most of the leaders, directly under the supervision of the newly appointed AICC in-charge. “All the leaders as part of the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ campaign will take part in this preparatory programme. AICC secretaries and all the senior leaders will attend this,” said a senior leader.
As per the AICC instructions, the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo is a mass interaction
programme, an extension of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. It will have padyatras at the block level. The padayatras which start on January 26 and are proposed to continue for two months will cover all the gram panchayats or villages and polling booths.
The drive is being organised at three different levels village/block, district and state level will ensure the message of Rahul Gandhi’s yatra reaches every household. At the village level besides various programmes, the Congress workers will “distribute chargesheet” against the Modi government.
At the district level, the party will hold ‘Karyakarta Mela’, a convention of Congress leaders, workers and influencers at each district headquarter. This mela will be addressed by important leaders like the PCC chief, CLP leader and senior leaders.
At the state level, there will be ‘Karyakarta Mahasangam’, the campaign from
across the state will culminate in a massive rally, which will be addressed by national-level leaders.
