BJP is with farmers: Etala
HYDERABAD: The BJP will stand by the farmers from Bommarajupeta who have been agitating for protecting their 1050 acres of land from illegal occupation, MLA from Huzurabad and the party’s election committee chairman Etala Rajendar said on Saturday.
Joining the agitating farmers who were arrested and taken to the Shamirpet police station, Rajendar said some people claiming to be Chief Minsiter K. Chandrashekar Rao’s relatives have illegally occupied land bought by the farmers and their families some 50 years ago.
"KCR said he will solve the land ownership problems for farmers by introducing the Dharani portal. We had warned that this system will sound the death knell for farmers right then when the portal was being talked about. Today this fear has become a reality. The Bommarajupeta instance is a perfect example of how Dharani is being misused to illegally occupy land belonging to farmers by unscrupulous persons who have KCR and BRS support,” Rajendar said.
