Did not see any Bangaru Telangana in padayatra, says Bhatti
HYDERABAD: Taking exception to comments by BRS leaders about whether he had not noticed ‘Bangaru Telangana’ during his padayatra, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka said, “The ineptness of the state government can be gauged by the sad and dejected faces of SC, ST, minorities, women, unemployed youth, disgruntled Singareni workers and Dalits.”
“There were no signs of Bangaru Telangana anywhere,” he said
Addressing the media, here on Saturday, he recalled his experiences during the padayatra, especially the woes of the people.
“Lands were taken away from 44 families of bonded labourers who were tilling lands for the last 70 years and given to the original feudal lords. After Dharani came into effect, these families lost rights over the land. In Ibrahimpatnam the government took over 10,000 acres and sold them to MNCs at Rs five crore per acre.”
“In Chevella, the government acquired 2,000 acres for an industrial park and gave the land worth Rs one lakh crore to Amazon. Traditional vocations have been dealt a serious blow by the BRS government,” he said.
A feature of the press meet was the united show put up by the state unit of the party.
On being questioned about the party’s CM face, he said that at this moment it was to fight and expose the misrule of BRS.
Apart from TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, former PCC presidents Ponnala Lakshmaiah and V. Hanumantha Rao and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
