For Protecting Erra Matti Dibbalu, PK to Approach Green Tribunal

VISHAKHAPATNAM: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan visited Erra Matti Dibbalu in Bheemunipatnam as a part of the Varahi Yatra’s third phase on Wednesday and vowed to protect the heritage site, where real estate constructions are currently on.

Speaking to the media, he flayed the YSRC leaders and said, “They looted Telangana region in the past and now want to loot North Andhra.”

“We are here to protect this heritage. This is the property belonging to future generations. We are giving 48 hours’ time to the YSRC government to take action for the protection of Erra Matti Dibbalu. If the government doesn’t respond, we will get the Green Tribunal to do this. If necessary, we will take the matter to the central government too.”

He said, “The government is allowing real estate layouts close to this heritage site. The Erra Matti Dibbalu was spread over 1200 acres. Now it is only 292 acres. How can the YSRC government spoil a national treasure? This should be protected and we are here to do that.”

The Jana Sena also demanded that a fence should be erected around the protected area of 292 acres of Erra Matti Dibbalu. Everyone in the region should come forward to protect it, he said.

“Across India, this kind of a heritage is seen only in Vizag and in Tamil Nadu. Except for Sri Lanka, no other place in the world has this kind of heritage. Erra Matti Dibbalu is a natural resource formed 25 thousand years ago,” he said.

During the Pawan Kalyan’s yatra a woman constable was injured and a JS fan broke his leg.
