Nadda Questions Congress' Silence on Attack on Sanatana Dharma

The BJP chief said that he was levelling charges of using its allies by Congress to push its agenda of attacking Sanatan Dharma

Raipur: BJP national president J P Nadda on Friday questioned the silence of Congress leadership on the attack on Sanatan Dharma by some constituents of I.N.D.I.A, wondering if the grand old party was using its allies to push its agenda.

Mr Nadda who launched his party’s second ‘Parivartan Yatra’ at Jashpur in north Chhattisgarh said that he could see a pattern in the attack on the Sanatan Dharma by the constituents of I.N.D.I.A alliance.

He said that the Opposition alliance met at Mumbai on September one. Two days later on September three, Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin’s son Udayanidhi made a statement denigrating Sanatan Dharma.

One September four, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank made some offensive remarks against Sanatan Dharma, he said.

“But, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are silent on the issue till today. Congress leadership is silent because they have no courage to speak on the issue”, Mr Nadda said.

The BJP chief said that he was levelling charges of using its allies by Congress to push its agenda of attacking Sanatan Dharma.

He questioned the Congress leadership to explain if the constitution has given anyone the right to denigrate a religion.

Mr Nadda said that the I.N.D.I.A alliance's 'shop of love' was now selling hate.

Mr Nadda also launched a diatribe against the Bhupesh Baghel government saying that it has failed to fulfil its promises made to the people.

He said that the state government has blocked many welfare schemes of the Centre, which could have helped in the empowerment of women and farmers.

Mr Nadda said that the state government’s refusal to implement Prime Minister Awas Yojana has denied the poor of having their own houses.

The first ‘Parivartan Yatra’ of BJP, a mass outreach campaign, was launched on September 12 at Dantewada in Bastar in Chhattisgarh by Om Mathur, BJP’s election in-charge of Chhattisgarh.

The two yatras are scheduled to come to a close in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh on September 28.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a meeting of BJP workers on the occasion on the day.
