Pawan seeks BJP's support for JS-TD alliance
VIJAYAWADA: A few days after Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan unilaterally announced his party’s alliance with Telugu Desam despite being a partner of NDA of which TD is not a member, the JS president is planning a visit to Delhi to seek the support of BJP’s top leadership for the alliance.
The Jana Sena held extensive discussions at its headquarters in Mangalagiri on Saturday, with Pawan Kalyan chairing the meeting. The meeting passed two resolutions, one endorsing JS-TD alliance while the other one lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for successfully conducting the G-20 Summit.
In the first resolution, the party accepted the announcement that Pawan Kalyan made on September 14 to ally with Telugu Desam soon after he met TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Rajahmundry Central Prison. The resolution said the alliance is in the larger interests of the state and its people, particularly the youth.
The JS leaders stated that they would support any important decision taken by their party president, as he always thinks about the state’s interests and welfare of the people. They wished that the BJP would also join the fight by the JS-TD alliance with the sole objective of freeing AP from the rule of YSRC.
The second resolution passed appreciated the BJP government, led by Minister Modi, for successfully conducting the G-20 meeting with the theme “One Earth-One Family-One Future”. The resolution underlined that the G-20 meeting will help India become economically strong.
