BJP wants KTR\'s interviews with disclaimers
Hyderabad: Sharing a video of BRS minister K.T. Rama Rao’s TV interview, the BJP asked Telugu media houses to run a disclaimer with his interviews that the contents are imaginary. The TS unit said on its X (Twitter) handle said the disclaimer should read: "All the contents shown in the interview are imaginary and have no relation with any facts and circumstances. Watch for humour only.”
In the video clip, Rama Rao heard saying, "What I am saying will not be liked by many especially BJP. Reality is we are the poorest country on the earth. We might have succeeded in sending Chandrayaan and India could have won against Pakistan but we are the country with the highest number of poor. After the Coronavirus we are the poorest country on the planet and have even crossed Nigeria."
In the video the world development indicators database of the World Bank from July 1 indicated that the country was placed third after China and the United States. It does not figure in the list of countries near Nigeria as cited by Rama Rao in per capita PPP (purchasing power parity) in terms of poverty as of August 28 as per the IMF, the BJP said.
