BJP's Gudur Vows to Merge Valigonda with HMDA

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party state executive council member and party candidate from Bhuvanagiri Assembly Constituency Gudur Narayana Reddy on Thursday promised that he would ensure the merger of Valigonda Mandal into Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority area for its all-round development after his election to the Assembly.

As part of his campaign programme, he toured Valigonda mandal and met the people of several villages. During his visit, he said that the BRS government had neglected Valigonda mandal over the past ten years as not an iota of development is visible in the mandal. Though the people of Bhuvanagiri elected a BRS candidate twice, the ruling party never bothered to develop the mandal.

Narayana Reddy said that he would take up the cleaning of the Musi River on a war footing and would complete the cleaning programme within 18 months if elected as MLA. He said that though the people of the surrounding mandals have been urging the state government to take up the cleaning of the river, their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.

Lamenting the severe backwardness of Bhuvanagiri town, the BJP leader said that the BRS had failed to create employment opportunities. Bhuvanagiri, Gachibowli, and Kollur are at an equal distance from Shamshabad Airport. However, Bhuvanagiri lags in attracting IT companies as the state government has not taken any steps to improve amenities in Bhuvanagiri.

“Nearly 30 lakh people reside in Gachibowli, Kollur and the financial district areas, as many IT companies have offices there. Bhuvanagiri could be developed as another employment region to reduce the burden on those areas,” he said. I will establish an IT Hub in Bhuvanagiri town if elected. This centre could provide employment to about 30,000 youngsters (one per cent of those in Gachibowli and other areas).

He further added that he would provide a building for the degree college in the Bhuvanagiri constituency so that young boys and girls can pursue their graduation. He alleged that the present MLA, Pailla Sekhar Reddy, failed to provide proper accommodation to students studying in the degree college.

He further alleged that due to the negligence of the MLA, the medical college, promised to Bhuvanagiri, has been shifted to Alair Constituency.
Severely criticising the local MLA, he said, “The illiterate MLA was interested in amassing wealth rather than solving the constituency’s issues. He is dumb to the problems of the people.”

“The MLA has not bothered constructing bridges on the Musi River at Rudrelli, Sangem, and Jampalli, connecting Indrial and other villages. Due to the negligence of the MLA, the people of many villages are facing problems in travelling,” he added.

He hosted lunch for the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi workers at Tigula Somaram village. The MRPS workers appreciated the initiative undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the classification of SC Reservations. They also appreciated Gudur Narayana Reddy’s efforts in reaching out to the Madiga community of the Bhuvanagiri Constituency. Hundreds of MRPS workers participated in the programme. Sudhakar Goud, Jaganmohan Reddy, Nagaiah, Madhava Reddy, Sandeep Reddy and Ravi Madiga also attended the event.
