Second phase of YSRC Samajika Sadhikara Yatra starts, leaders slam Naidu, Pawan

Vijayawada: The second phase of the YSRC Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra started from three three regions of AP on Wednesday.

Ministers, legislators and leaders explained to the masses the developmental and welfare initiatives of the YSRC government in the past four and half years. They claimed that the Telugu Desam government of Chandrababu Naidu had not initiated any scheme for the welfare of the downtrodden including BCs.

The YSRC resumed Phase-II of its social empowerment bus yatra with three massive rallies in Sri SatyaSai district's Hindupur, Guntur's Ponnur, and Srikakulam's Narasannapet. Prominent leaders toured the three assembly constituencies across the three zones, spreading the message of social empowerment, justice, and development heralded by the chief minister.

Ministers Venugopalakrishna and Jogi Ramesh, MPs Ayodhya Ramireddy, Mopidevi Venkataramana and Nandigam Suresh, MLAs Anil Yadav, Kilari Venkataroshaiah and Md Mustafa, MLCs Manikya Varaprasad, Marri Rajasekhar and Jupudi Prabhakar, Actor Ali and others addressed the gatherings.

BC welfare minister Venugopala Krishna said the YSRC government was committed to the cause of achieving BR Ambedkar's vision. “This social empowerment came for the communities voting for Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said Jagananna called the poor communities as ‘my communities’ and introduced nine schemes (Navatnalu) to end their poverty.

Minister Jogi Ramesh said that if the BC, SC, ST, minority and upper caste poor came together, the cycle (of Telugu Desam) will be rusted and the glass (of Jana Sena) would be broken.

“Chandrababu went to Jail and later to Hyderabad, Lokesh is missing and no one knows where Pawan Kalyan has gone,” Ramesh said, adding, “Where is the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh?”

Minister Ramesh refuted criticism of Jana Sena leader Nadendla Manohar about the offer of Vidya Kanuka kits to government school students, and asked, “Is it wrong, if the children of our BC, SC, ST, Minority, Kapu sisters take this education kit and go as equals alongside upper caste children?”

MP Nandigam Suresh said the Opposition went to court over English medium and against the scheme to provide 30 lakh houses to poor women from SC, ST, BC and minority communities. “If we give another chance to Chandrababu, our lives will be destroyed.”

He said Chandrababu's wealth increased from '2 crore to '6 lakh crore. If Chandrababu tells us how this was made possible, all the poor in the state will become rich.”

MLAs Anil Yadav, Venkata Roshaiah and cine actor Ali slammed Naidu and Pawan and urged the public to bring Jagan Mohan Reddy back to power in the next elections.
