Revanth: BRS legislators looting people, hand in glove with land and sand mafia
BODHAN: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy alleged that BRS legislators were looting the people and were making a mockery of the position they held. The MLAs are involved with land and sand mafia, smuggling of public distribution rice and other irregularities, he said. They were also demanding commission in private land deals also, he alleged.
Reddy walked from Yedapally to Bodhan town as part of ‘Hath se hath jodo’ yatra on Thursday. He addressed a public meeting at Ambedkar Chowrasta in Bodhan town Thursday night.
Senior leaders M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, P. Sudarshan Reddy, Shabbir Ali and Mallu Ravi were also present.
Speaking at the meeting, said that BJP and BRS were trying to divide people on religion and caste lines for their own political benefits.
Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the country and Rahul Gandhi is trying to unite the people with his Bharat jodo Yatra, he said.
The Congress Lok Sabha member wondered why Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had failed to provide 12 per cent reservations to Muslims, which was an electoral promise. He said that Rao was only implementing the Congress initiated welfare schemes and nothing of BRS. Kalvakuntla family would have been on the roads, if the Congress had not granted Telangana state, he said.
Later, Revanth Reddy visited Kaleshwaram lift irrigation at Sarangapur.
