Purandeswari to Approach Centre for Weavers, Fishermen
VIJAYAWADA: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari vowed to take up problems of weavers, fishermen and those involved in making handicrafts with the central government, so that they could be resolved.
Purandeswari met the leaders of these three societies at the party office here on Monday. While the leaders expressed various issues their communities are facing, the state BJP president underlined that welfare schemes aimed at them should reach them without any difficulties.
She assured the leaders that she would take up their problems to the notice of the centre for redressal.
Hinting that she would be taking up a state-wide tour, Purandeswari assured to meet leaders of various communities and professions to find out their long-pending problems. She said a state-wide movement could be launched to mount pressure on the state government and resolve their problems, apart from taking the help of centre in this regard.
AP BJP vice-president Chandramouli, Chenetha Society leader Narayana Swamy, handicrafts state convener Achary and Matsyakara Vibhagam state convener Bommidi Ganesh were among those who met the recently appointed chief of state BJP.
