TPCC plans events for Rajiv Gandhi’s 75th birth anniversary

He said the TPCC student wing, NSUI, would conduct an essay writing competition on Rajiv Gandhi’s life.

Hyderabad: On the directions of the high command, the TPCC will be celebrating the former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi’s 75th birth anniversary on August 20 in a grand manner.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday held a meeting with senior party leaders at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss the events to be held to mark the day.

After the meeting, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra would start at the former prime minister’s statue at Panjagutta at 9 am and would be led by former MP V. Hanumantha Rao.

At 11 am, the Youth Congress would conduct blood donation camps and TPCC frontal organizations would conduct several programmes.
He said the TPCC student wing, NSUI, would conduct an essay writing competition on Rajiv Gandhi’s life.
