Bandi Sanjay facing heat from senior leaders of united Karimnagar
Karimnagar: BJP national general secretary and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar was facing the heat from party senior leaders of the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
Senior leaders of 13 Assembly segments, along with their supporters, held a meeting at a private function hall and passed the resolution that they would not support the candidature of Bandi in the upcoming Parliament elections and demanded the party leadership to not allot MP ticket to him.
They alleged that Bandi was ruining the party by disrespecting seniors. After he was removed from the BJP state chief post, he encouraged his supporters to do false propaganda against seniors through social media to get the party's national general secretary post. He did not even inform them about the PM Modi’s Karimnagar visit to the senior leaders during the Assembly elections and sent an invitation for his public meeting, they complained.
They alleged that because of his stubborn attitude, the BJP did not win even in a single Assembly segment out of 13 in the erstwhile Karimnagar district. Otherwise, the party would have won many more seats including Karimnagar. Some seniors and activists left the party while many did not participate in the election campaign for him due to compatibility issues with Bandi, they said.
