Revanth calls for realignment of anti-KCR forces
HYDERABAD: Calling for realignment of political forces to remove Chief Minister K. Chandrshekar Rao from power, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy has welcomed all likeminded leaders to the Congress fold.
“Many of these leaders who left the Congress in the past don’t subscribe to the BJP ideology. They should rethink their plans and help promote the welfare of the Telangana people,” he said.
“I call on Vivek Venkataswamy, Vishweshwar Reddy, Rajender Reddy, Rajagopal Reddy, Ponguleti Sreenivas Reddy, Jupally Krishnarao and Etala Rajendar to join us,” Revanth said.
He said, “The BJP cannot defeat KCR. He aligned with the JD(S) to create a hung Assembly in Karnataka and help the BJP against the Congress. KCR echoed the voice of Bandi Sanjay Kumar in saying that the verdict in Karnataka will not have any bearing in Telangana. The resounding result in favour of the Congress was made possible by the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
On the BJP’s BC outreach, Revanth asked what has the party done for them in the last nine years. They came up with the kamandal politics when the Mandal commission report was sought to be implemented.”
Referring to the publicity being unleashed by the BRS government on the 10th anniversary of formation of the state, Revanth said, “Why is KCR spending '200 crore from the public exchequer to advertise himself in states like Assam and Goa? This is being done to bag commissions in the process of giving these advertisements to favoured companies.”
The meeting was attended by TPCC working president Anjan Yadav, former leader of opposition Shabbir Ali, former PCC president Hanumantha Rao, ex-MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Sircilla Rajaiah, ex-MLC Ramulu Nayak, Secunderabad DCC president Anil Yadav, its vice president Chamala Kiran and Kailash.
