YSRC to make good use of assembly session to expose Naidu's corruption
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has started a fresh offensive on Chandrababu Naidu in relation to the corruption in AP Skill Development Corporation.
The ruling party, led by the CM, is likely to make good use of the AP assembly session starting on Sept 21 to expose Naidu and others in the scam.
Jagan Reddy had, previously too, exposed the involvement of the Telugu Desam government and Naidu in several acts of corruption, in the state assembly through power point presentations. As the AP politics heats up now, the chief minister, ministers and the treasury benches as a whole will plunge into action and counter the defensive attacks from the Telugu Desam.
The chief minister gave power-point presentations on the Three Capitals, Polavaram, drought situation, new districts formation, volunteers system, AP finances, debts, industries, investments, welfare, ease of doing business etc in the assembly.
TD leaders, led by party general secretary Nara Lokesh, launched a campaign in the national capital, Delhi, against Naidu’s arrest and were gathering the support of national leaders.
The chief minister had plans to visit Delhi after his return from the London tour but in view of Chandrababu’s arrest and the G-20 meeting in Delhi, the tour plan was cancelled. But he came down heavily against Naidu during a public meeting at Nidadavolu and recalled Chandrababu’s involvement in the Vote for Note case of Telangana, in which TD offered '50 lakh for casting vote.
Interestingly, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who was eager about a poll alliance with TD, met Naidu in Rajahmundry prison and immediately announced a poll alliance between the JS and TD. According to reliable sources, TD, which is continuing the protests and agitations against Naidu’s arrest, is waiting for the outcome of Chandrababu’s bail petitions in the AP high court before it chalks out a future plan of action.
TD was claiming that several persons across AP died due to the “shock” of Naidu’s arrest. YSRC leaders laugh away such claims. Chandrababu’s brother-in-law and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is planning to undertake an Odarpu Yatra following Jagan’s similar programme to console the victims.
Further, the TD is planning agitations against the Jagan-led government after the release of Naidu. The TD is not interested in attending the present assembly session and, alternatively, they might create ruckuses to get suspensions if they attend the assembly.
According to these sources, the CM, ministers and legislators are gearing up to expose the corruption of Naidu in the skill development and other scams. They are readying to further expose other leaders like state TD president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu involved in the ESI scam.
The YSRC leaders said the pro-opposition media is maligning the reputation of the YSRC government and hence the Jagan-led government would make good use of the assembly sessions to expose in detail all the TD government’s corruption. They said the scheduled assembly session will turn hot with discussions and debates on contemporary issues including the AP skill development scam.
Minister for finance and legislative affairs, Buggana Rajendranath said that the agenda of the assembly session will be decided in the business advisory committee meeting on Sept 21 and they are readying to take up all issues.
