Nirmal: Long pummelled by TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrase-khar Rao, who has used the choicest abusive words against them in public meetings and media interactions, some Congress leaders are paying it back in the same coin.
The change of mindset appears to be emanating from the very top.
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday called Mr Chandrasekhar Rao ‘Dhokebhaaz’ and described him as Mosakari, Dagakoru, Abaddalakoru at a public meeting in Bhainsa two days ago.
This was the first time Mr Reddy had used such harsh words against Mr Rao. A day before that, party Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had called Mr Chandrasekhar Rao and his family “pink bollworms” that had gobbled up the state Budget.
The fever seems to be spreading, with TS TD president L. Ramana calling Mr Chandrasekhar Rao “mundamopi”.
Besides this, the Congress is trying to tell the people through videos that use of bad language could not be passed off as the Telangana dialect. “KCR’s family members have invented a new Telangana language of their own to insult the others,” a Congress leader said.
In one of the videos, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao is seen justifying the use of the words “luchcha” and “lafanga”.
“It is Telangana language and we commonly use it even against family members,” Mr Chand-rasekhar Rao is heard saying. He explains in the video that “luchcha” is someone who does “ulta pulta’ work” and “Lafanga” is someone who does something wrong.
Caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao are seen using abusive language against police officials during statehood agitation.On other issue, the Congress has posted videos showing Mr Chandrasekhar Rao promising a dole for the unemployed in the TRS manifesto, along with old videos ridiculing the Congress for making a similar promise.
