Complete Ramappa temple renovation by June, says Seethakka

Warangal: Panchayat raj minister D. Anasuya Seethakka on Monday said the renovation works of the internationally renowned Ramappa temple in Mulugu will be completed by July next year.

She said the works will be taken up by allocating special funds at temple which is presently in a dilapidated condition.

After offering prayers with her family, the minister inspected the ongoing construction works.

While observing the foundation laying works, the minister pulled up the officials for not maintaining the standard in construction works and warned them to maintain quality. “We will provide advanced facilities for the convenience of the devotees at the temple. The construction works must be completed by the end of June next year,” she ordered.

The funds will be provided under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) Project.

After the renovation and upgrade, the temple premises will have a standard interpretation centre, G+1 Food Court with glass work, nine souvenir stalls, a fountain, a washroom block, parking area, retail shops, amphitheatre, security cabin, a compound wall, a promenade (shopping boulevard), landscaped grounds and other public amenities.

The Kakatiya Rudreshwara temple was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2021.

Later speaking to media persons, Seethakka said she is indebted to the people of Mulugu, who elected her three times as their MLA. She dedicated her ministership to the people.

She said funds will be allocated to each and every village for development works.
