Naidu calls upon party leaders to ensure TD win in all 175 constituencies
VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called upon his party leaders and activists to reach out to the people to learn their problems to enable the TD to come up with a full manifesto that would impress them.
“Let us try our best and win 175 out of 175 Assembly seats in the upcoming polls,” Naidu exhorted his partymen.
In a meeting held with the party leaders and activists at the party headquarters here on Monday, Naidu lashed out at the ruling YSR Congress. He said, “Jagan Mohan Reddy is subjecting the people to hardships through his mis-rule.”
Naidu listed out how the state government had hiked power charges, domestic gas price, property registration charges etc, and wondered how those who were opposing the ruling party were being subjected to trouble by implicating them in the police cases.
The TD chief slammed the state government for “collecting cash at liquor retail outlets” and even at Srivari Darshan at Tirupati when everywhere else the digital financial transactions were taking place. “Where is the money from Srivani trust going,” Naidu asked.
Naidu discussed at length on how to go about publicising the recently announced TD mini-manifesto with a list of freebies to benefit the people. He said that by the Dasara festival, the party would announce its full manifesto and plunge into an aggressive poll campaign.
