BRS, Congress have made politics costly: Bandi
KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday said while ruling BRS is robbing people through liquor tenders, Congress is looting leaders in the name of application fees.
“Both these parties have made politics costly,” he remarked, after paying tributes to the statue of Sardar Sarvai Papanna in Karimnagar on Friday.
The MP said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has realised that he will have to pack up. Hence, he has called for liquor shop tenders two months in advance, so that he could make ₹2,000 crore in the bargain.
Sanjay Kumar accused KCR of wanting to earn ₹50,000 crore per annum. “His hopes will be dashed after the assembly elections,” he remarked.
The BJP MP said Congress party is not finding candidates to contest the forthcoming assembly elections, as those who contested in 2019 polls did not even get their deposits. Yet, the Congress is creating hype that as there are many leaders who are vying to contest the coming assembly election, it has fixed ₹50,000 for each application form.
Sanjay Kumar said both BRS and Congress have made politics costly. This is an indirect indication that loyal and good leaders with poor economic background cannot contest elections from these two parties.
The MP said people are facing considerable hardships in benefitting from Aarogyasri, as they do not have white ration cards. Instead of sanctioning ration cards, BRS government is using police to suppress opposition parties who are protesting on behalf of the people, he remarked.
