BRS failed to keep its promises, says Kishan
Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy appealed to the people to vote for the BJP, saying the BRS government of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had not kept its promises. “The state has seen the BRS rule for nine years. Give the BJP a chance for good and responsible governance,” he said.
Kishan Reddy, speaking to reporters at Khammam on Friday, said the party will be holding a public meeting in Khammam on August 27 that will be addressed by Union home minister Amit Shah and called on people from the district to make it a success. During the day, Kishan Reddy also inspected the ground where the meeting is to be held and discussed arrangements with district party leaders.
He said the role of people from Khammam district in achieving statehood for Telangana is well-known and it was time for them to rise again to teach a lesson to the BRS. The ruling party had let down the people, while the Chief Minister and his family enriched themselves at the cost of the development of the state and the people.
Kishan Reddy said the BRS was desperate and encouraging defections from other parties, and was certain to join hands with the Congress. Voting for the BRS is a vote for Congress as these two parties are together. “There is only one alternative for the BRS in Telangana and that is the BJP,” he said.
