BJP will win GHMC, 2023 assembly polls as well: Bhupendra Yadav
HYDERABAD: BJP general secretary and MP Bhupendra Yadav has slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for “practicing unfair rule” in Telangana. “BJP will bag Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and come to power during the next assembly general elections in 2023 as well,” he declared.
Yadav asserted that Telangana people will throw out corrupt TRS sarkar and elect non-corrupt BJP government in Assembly elections.
The MP participated in a meeting of BJP’s GHMC Election Committee at the party state headquarters in Nampally. He is here to review the candidates’ profile, election strategy and BJP manifesto for the civic body polls.
Bhupendra Yadav told leaders in key positions to dedicatedly work and motivate cadre for getting majority seats in the municipal elections. He instructed leaders to clearly inform voters about the central schemes and funds allocated under them to Telangana, so that people become aware of what BJP is doing for the state.
Former mayor of GHMC and senior Congress leader Banda Kartika Reddy, who joined BJP in the presence of Bhupendra Yadav, state party president Bandi Sanjay, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, and national vice president D. K. Aruna were present at the meeting.
On the occasion, Bandi Sanjay asked people of Hyderabad to send TRS party (with car symbol) to the garage in the GHMC elections. He charged that negligence of KCR government had led to the death of a person in floods. He accused the CM of surrendering to Majlis and Owaisi brothers. He maintained that BJP will fight for Hindus. “The GHMC poll will be a fight between Desh Bhakts and Desh Drohis,” the state BJP president declared.
Former mayor Banda Kartika said Congress had cheated people and hence lost the Assembly elections twice. She hoped BJP will win 100 seats in the GHMC elections. She stated that she does not want any positions in the party but would work to hoist the saffron flag on Golconda Fort.
Bhupendra Yadav also started a call center with number 040-71432229 for people of Hyderabad to send their suggestions for incorporating them into the party’s manifesto for GHMC polls, which will be released as soon as possible.
