Warangal: From past 22 years, BRS party leaders have been deceiving people of Telangana in the name of separate Telangana movement and achievement of Bangaru Telangana. In the process, they have driven the surplus state into debts, charged Congress party candidate Naini Rajendar Reddy at the Praja Deevana Yatra in Warangal West assembly segment in Hanamkonda on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Rajendar Reddy alleged that even after winning from the constituency four times, local BRS party MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar has not focused on the development of the constituency. Because of this, the historic Warangal and Hanamkonda cities are lagging behind in development even after 10 years of Telangana formation.
Vinay Bhaskar won twice as MLA from the constituency before the formation of Telangana state. He may thus claim that he could not develop the constituency as he was not in the ruling party. But after formation of the state, Vinay Bhaskar has won two more times. Then, why has he not taken up the development of two cities, the Congress candidate asked.
He maintained that the then Congress government at the centre cleared formation of separate Telangana, fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of the people. “But Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has killed the dreams of people and has focused on benefitting only his own family by looting Telangana,” Rajendar Reddy stated.
He asserted that Congress party, which had kept its promise of giving separate Telangana state to people, will also fulfil its promise of implementing the six guarantees it has given, he assured.
District libraries department chairman Md. Aziz Khan, corporators Ravinder and Vijaya Sri, and Congress leaders Mohammad Jafar, Ravindra, Uttam Rao, Sanjay, Puli Raju, A. Nagaraju and Md. Ankush were among those present.
