Vijayawada: The regional conference on caste-based census will be held in Vijayawada on Monday. Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, NTR district collector S. Dilli Rao said that the regional conference on Caste Census 2023 to be held in the city on Monday in which the officials, public representatives, representatives of caste associations and others from Krishna, NTR, Bapatla, Palnadu, Guntur and Prakasam districts will attend and express their opinions.
Dilli Rao said the conference will be held in accordance with the guidelines of the government regarding the caste enumeration and the state government was conducting it in a very ambitious manner. He stated the regional meet will be held at the meeting hall in Metropolitan Hotel near Maris Stella College on Monday from 10 am to 1 pm and added the officials were making elaborate arrangements for the success of the conference.
The collector stated that from November 27, volunteers and secretariat staff will come door-to-door and conduct a caste survey. He further stated that the officials and secretariat staff will spread wide publicity on the caste census as the government aimed to access all welfare and development scheme benefits reach all targeted beneficiaries.
