Congress, INTUC, should work closely: Tariq Anwar
Hyderabad: As part of its efforts to win the next general elections, AICC general
secretary, Tariq Anwar on Thursday urged the INTUC (Indian National Trade Union Congress) leadership to work in close coordination with the Congress.
The party affiliate INTUC, the official body representing trade unions, held a coordination meeting at its state office in Narayanguda.
The meeting was attended by Tariq Anwar, Dr G. Sanjeeva Reddy, president All
India INTUC and former MP, V. Hanumantha Rao, Kisan Congress leader, M. Kodanda Reddy, MSMU (Municipal Sahakar Mazdoor Union) INTUC working president Adil Sharif and other leaders.
Leaders urged the Congress workers and the INTUC leaders to bridge the gaps
for efficient future campaigns.
Anwar appreciated the efforts of Sanjeeva Reddy for strengthening the INTUC
across the country and in organising the rural and agricultural workers of
MGNREGA.
The INTUC leader hoped that the Congress would recognise Union’s efforts in
strengthening the party as its social partner.
