TN MLAs visit Telangana to study welfare schemes
WARANGAL: A team from Tamil Nadu including its MLAs Sinthanai Selvan and S.S. Balaji visited Karimnagar district on Thursday to check out the welfare schemes being implemented by Telangana government in the area under supervision of backward classes welfare minister Gangula Kamalakar.
The TN team, including officials, has come to Karimnagar to study in detail implementation of the Dalit Bandhu, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes, apart from SC sub-plan. The team also inspected the Sainik School at Rukmapur in Choppadandi mandal.
Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar accompanied the Tamil Nadu MLAs and explained to them how development has been taking place after formation of separate Telangana.
He pointed out that to ensure a bright future for students, the TS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has not only taken up several developmental works in the education sector, but also provided all basic facilities to students of Sainik schools.
The TN team, including the MLAs, appreciated the way the schemes are being implemented. The team later had lunch with the students of the Sainik School.
