Appalaraju with CM mask throws selfie challenge

VISHAKHAPATNAM: Sporting mask with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s picture, animal husbandry minister Dr. Seedari Appalaraju threw selfie challenge at TD leaders, particularly Kinjarapu Atchennaidu, on developmental activities taken up by the present government and works carried out by N. Chandrababu Naidu government.

Appalaraju, posing in front of the Kidney Research Centre at Palasa in Srikakulam district, said when development works are going on at a faster pace under Jagan, why people would trust Chandrababu Naidu or Atchennaidu, who have never done so in the past.

The minister said though Naidu had been the state’s chief minister for 14 years, he failed to lay foundation stone for a single port or harbour. If proved Naidu did so, Appalaraju said he would quit as MLA.

“We laid foundation stones for nine fishing harbours,” the minister said in his video.

Former central minister and TD politburo member P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju took his selfie at Gotlam bypass road on Thursday. He said in view of traffic problems, TD government developed a 17.2-km-long Chelluru-Gotlam bypass road spending ₹450 crore. He underlined that this bypass road helped people and reduced traffic in Vizianagaram town.

“But during last four years, no development work has been taken up in Vizianagaram district. People know about it. We are looking forward that people will give us relief under these harsh conditions,” Ashok posted.
