As NE Minister Kishan Reddy Should Be in Manipur Not Here: Seethakka
HYDERABAD: The arrest of state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy, at the behest of the state government, has been done as part of a match-fixing deal between the BJP and BRS governments, said Danasari Seethakka, MLA from Mulugu.
Distribution of double bed room houses has been pending for a long time. Kishan Reddy being in-charge of the development of North Eastern region should have been visiting Manipur and taken stock of the situation instead of enacting a drama here. “What is he doing here when the Parliament is in session?” she asked.
Reacting to media queries on the statements of the central government on Twitter, she said, “The Prime Minister spoke 79 days after the violence began in Manipur and that too after the gruesome video was posted on Twitter. Instead of trying to take action on the persons responsible for the action they are threatening action on Twitter. The attacks on the Kuki tribe are disturbing to say the least.”
Speaking on the issue Bellaiah Nayak, president, national adivasi cell of the Congress, said, “Violence in Manipur has cost 350 lives already. The friction is a creation of the central government’s electoral politics. Around 12 BJP MLAs resigned and they openly admit that the violence is happening on the directions of the BJP state unit.”
