Money power won’t help TRS win Munugode, says Narasaiah Goud

HYDERABAD: The BJP on Thursday said that the TRS has become a ‘cash down’ party hoping to win the elections by distributing money. Former Bhongir MP, Dr Boora Narasaiah Goud, who joined BJP only the other day, said that the TRS is yet again trying to influence voters by distributing cash and other government schemes. It tried the same trick in Dubbak and Huzurabad but failed. And it will also fail in Munugode, he told reporters.

Dr Goud said that after the Munugode bye-election, which the BJP was certain to win, the party will launch a political ‘Aswamedha Yagam’ to capture the hearts and minds of people in Telangana.

“Today, each of the 100 TRS leaders camping in Munugode are spending around up to Rs 2 crore each to influence voters. Is this necessary if the ruling party is confident of its victory,” he asked.

He said he quit the TRS as he could not remain a slave and pointed out that there were many others who were vexed at the way the party is being run. Once the Munugode election is over, there will be mass desertions from the TRS,” Dr Goud said.
