Protesters Demand RDS Project Completion During Jagan\'s Meeting

Kurnool: Police on Thursday arrested leaders of AISF and PDSU students’ unions when they raised placards at the public meeting of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in Yemmiganur with regard to problems being faced by Kurnool district.

AISF district general secretary Shabir, PDSU district president Nagaraju and student leaders Dastagiri and Ramana were among those arrested by police on charges of creating trouble at the meeting.

Adoni DSP J. Sivanarayana Swamy and his personnel shifted the slogan-shouting student leaders to the police station.

Police had earlier placed former Yemmiganur MLA B.V. Jayanageswar Reddy of Telugu Desam under house arrest in connection with the CM’s visit to Yemmiganur.

Supporters of the former MLA raised slogans against Jagan Mohan Reddy, demanding completion of the RDS project and textile park sanctioned by the TDP regime.
