Santosh expected in Hyderabad tomorrow
HYDERABAD: BJP national general secretary B.L. Santosh, summoned by the Special Investigation Team probing the TRS MLAs poachgate case, is expected to be in the city for two days from Monday.
He is expected to take part in a three-day state-level training camp of the BJP’s Telangana unit starting on Sunday.
The meeting will see all of its Telangana leaders attending training sessions on various topics, which will be followed by a one-day state executive meeting.
Among those attending the meeting, in addition to Telangana BJP leaders are Tarun Chugh, the party’s national general secretary and Telangana state in-charge, Sunil Bansal, another national general secretary, Shiva Prakash, the party’s national co-general secretary in-charge of organizational
matters and Arvind Menon, national secretary.
Senior state leaders who will be attending the meeting will include state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, Dr K. Laxman, MP and BJP OBC Morcha national president and BJP Parliamentary Party Board member, and D.K. Aruna, the party’s national vice-president.
The meeting comes in the wake of the BJP’s recent loss in Munugode byelection and its efforts to strengthen itself in the state. Even more importantly, the meeting is being held after TRS’ claims that the BJP was trying to buy four of its MLAs using middlemen, and the government had formed SIT to probe the case.
