Appointing conveners is a challenging task for YSRC MLAs
Kakinada: It’s a challenging task for YSRC MLAs and constituency in-charges to appoint conveners and Gruha Saradhis (team leaders) in villages and cities. For, there often are group clashes in village party circles.
The appointment of three conveners in each village should be made before Dec 25. Three conveners have to be selected in each village, but most of the MLAs and constituency in-charges are leaving this responsibility to the sarpanches or village party in-charges respectively.
Several of the rebels in the party had contested the village sarpanch and MPTC elections. The resultant clashes are continuing. While the MLAs want the sarpanches to select conveners, the rebels are not cooperating with this process. This would hurt the party’s poll prospects.
In the Konaseema area, YSRC groups in the villages are working at cross-purposes. The party has to urgently intervene and rectify internal issues in Razole constituency.
YSRC candidate from Razole, Bothunu Rajeswara Rao, had been defeated by Jana Sena candidate Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao. Later, Vara Prasada Rao joined the YSRC. BR Rao joined the Jana Sena on Sunday in the presence of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. In the constituency, the party has to coordinate between the YSRC and Rapaka groups and effect a compromise.
In Amalapuram, there is dissent against the MLA and against minister Pinepe Viswaroop in the aftermath of the arson in Konaseema over the naming of the district. According to YSRC local leaders, the party has to be strengthened in the constituency as many of its workers are facing arson cases and cannot be in active mode.
However, the Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district YSRC president Ponnada Satish said the task of appointing three conveners in each village has been entrusted to the respective village sarpanches. If the sarpanch belongs to Telugu Desam, this job would be given to the party in-charges in the village. If there is any dissent in the part, that can be sorted out gradually, he said.
In Peddapuram constituency, the rebels in the party are more. Elected sarpanches and MPTCs are not heeding the voice of the party workers. If the partymen have any problem, the local leaders advise them to meet the party in-charge, D Dorababu.
Telugu Desam MLA Nimmakayala Chinarajappa represents the constituency. In Panasapadu village in Samalkot mandal, infighting came to the fore even in the appointment of Jala Jeevan Mission committees.
