Rahul Gandhi will interact with all sections in state: Uttam
HYDERABAD: Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday pointed out that Rahul Gandhi would interact with all sections during his stay in Telangana as part of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telangana from October 23.
Reddy, who is the AICC coordinator for the Telugu states, told reporters along with senior leaders Nadeem Javed, Madhu Yashki Goud and Anil Kumar Yadav that elaborate arrangements were being made to welcome the yatra and Gandhi's interaction with different segments of society during his stay in Telangana till November 7. He will interact with intellectuals, unemployed youth, farmers, woman SHG members, students and representatives of various communities.
On the Munugode by-elections, Reddy accused BJP and TRS of making a mockery of democracy by attempting to influence voters with money and liquor.
He said they were shamelessly competing with each other in the distribution. However, people of Munugode would not get tempted by the unethical offers of BJP and TRS and would vote for the Congress nominee, he said.
The former PCC chief slammed the Election Commission of India for not taking prompt action against leaders from the two parties despite enough evidence in the public domain. He said the ECI appears to be working under the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and it is not taking any action on the irregularities being committed in the election process. He predicted a big win for Congress candidate Palvai Shravanti in Munugode.
