Jayalalithaa removes Aspire Swaminathan, elevates IIM alumnus as IT wing secretary
Chennai: AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa removed Swaminathan K, Founder and CEO, Aspire Edu-Ventures, from her party's IT wing secretary post and appointed an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, G. Ramachandran, who joined the AIADMK in March 2015.
In a release here on Monday she said Swaminathan has been relieved from his responsibilities and G. Ramachandran of Varadarajapuram near Singanallur in Coimbatore has been appointed in his place as the new secretary of AIADMK IT wing with immediate effect. She had created a new wing of the party, Information Technology Wing, and appointed 'Aspire' K Swaminathan, MBA, as its secretary in 2014.
Ramachandran, who is a member of the party's youth wing, is the son of late Singai Govindarasu, a legislator from Singanallur between 1991-96.
