Jana Sena tells YSRC to come clean on data collection from citizens
Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan demanded on Friday that the YSRC government should come clean on the collection of personal details of citizens by the village/ward volunteers.
In a tweet, Pawan Kalyan said he was not worried over the state government’s move to file a case against him. “I am ready to go to jail,” he said, but sought details of the Volunteer system from the government.
He asked who was the boss for the volunteer system and who instructed the volunteers to collect private data? Was it a private company that was issuing the instructions to volunteers to collect such data, he asked, and sought details as to who headed the company.
He said that in case the state government had issued instructions for collection of data, then who issued the order? Was it the chief secretary or the chief minister or the MLAs, or who else?
He tagged his tweet to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Union ministry of home affairs.
The YSR Congress government has issued an order to prosecute the Jana Sena chief for making defamatory remarks against the volunteers. However, the Jana Sena chief said he was ready to get arrested and even go to jail.
