Kola Guruvulu appointed YSRC Vizag dist president

VISAKHAPATNAM: Senior leader of YSRC Kola Guruvulu has been appointed as the new president of YSRC Visakhapatnam district in place of Panchakarla Ramesh Babu who resigned from the party and joined Jana Sena.

The new appointment was announced by YSRC regional coordinator Y.V. Subba Reddy, who received the appointment letter from the party head office on Thursday evening. Subba Reddy called Guruvulu to the Circuit House and handed him over the appointment letter. Party sources said several names were proposed but the party high command picked up Guruvulu.

Two years ago, he was appointed as chairman of Fisheries Corporation and recently as chairman of the District Cooperative Central Bank. He lost the MLC election under the MLAs quota by a single vote.
