Naidu seeks filing of case against CM for misusing' systems
VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has criticised the AP government's decision to file a defamation case against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in relation to his critical comments against Volunteers.
Naidu expressed his anger over the government move, saying it has become the policy of the YSRC government to file cases against its political rivals. The filing of a case against Pawan Kalyan was a shameless and unethical act, he said.
The former CM said the gathering personal and family details of individuals was wrong, the misuse of such details was more objectionable. “If at all a case is to be registered, it should be against Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, as he is misusing the systems," Naidu said.
The TD chief said the prevailing situation in the state was so bad that it became a “crime” questioning the government even for its wrong actions. The state government's policy is that if people raise their voice, they are being attacked. If political parties question the actions of the CM, false cases are foisted on such leaders, he said.
He felt that any government should be answerable to the public. “How can a case be registered against Pawan Kalyan for the simple reason he questioned the volunteers and opposed the gathering of personal details of the people, Naidu asked.
