CM says Naidu is anti-employee
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has sharply criticised the Telugu Desam chief by quoting views expressed by Chandrababu Naidu in his ‘Manasulo Maata’ book written in 2012. Jagan Mohan Reddy termed Naidu as an “anti- government employee” ideologist.
Addressing a gathering of government employees during the APNGOs Association state council meeting at the IGMC stadium here on Monday, the CM said the TD leader followed a policy of retrenchment in the guise of ‘golden hand shake’.
“Naidu introduced the contract system while closing down government institutions and selling away government lands to his sycophants for peanuts. He said in the book that 40.6 per cent of the government employees were surplus and more than 60 per cent of the employees were generally corrupt.”
“Hence, Naidu closed down government institutions and retrenched thousands of employees,” alleged the Chief Minister.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “In contrast, the present government has expanded the government machinery by creating village and ward secretariats, village clinics, RBKs, digital libraries and English medium schools besides increasing the number of districts from 13 to 26.”
