AP assembly forgives Balakrishna's first mistake, warns him of stern action
VIJAYAWADA: Assembly Speaker Thammineni Sitaram has warned actor-turned Telugu Desam MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna over his “indecent” behaviour of twirling his moustaches and slapping his thighs in the assembly on Thursday.
“I am not taking action on Balakrishna, treating this as the first mistake. There will be stern action if any member behaves indecently in violations of the house’s norms,” he warned.
The Speaker said the TD MLAs did not follow the rules even as he agreed to give them a chance to raise their issues in the house.
The Speaker said when the assembly started today, the TD legislators behaved indecently. The assembly severely objects to the action of Balakrishna. Tearing papers and throwing the paper pieces also meant an insult to the Speaker’s chair, he said.
The Speaker said TD MLA Anagani Satyaprasad, legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar and Payyavula Keshav violated the house’s norms. He announced that Satyaprasad, Sridhar Reddy and Keshav were suspended for the entire session.
Speaker Sitaram also announced the suspension of TD MLAs Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bendalam Ashok, Adireddy Bhavani, Butchaiah Chowdary, China Rajappa, Gadde Rammohan, Gana Babu, Nimmalarama Naidu, Gottipati Ravi, Mantena Ramaraju, Eluri Sambasiva and Balaviranjaneya Swamy and YSRC rebel MLA V Sridevi.
