Asad questions Cong. record over Modi cricket troll
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was trolled for India’s cricket World Cup loss by the Congress with its Panauti remarks, found support from an unlikely source in All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen’s supremo Asaduddin Owaisi.
When Rahul Gandhi’s Panauti comment was brought to his notice, the Hyderabad MP said it was nothing but lowering the spirit and display of great talent by ‘Team India’ all through the World Cup.
“It was just one game we lost, but one should acknowledge and appreciate the great captaincy of Rohit Sarma, tremendous performance by players like Kohli, Shami and our own Hyderabadi, Siraj,” he said adding that one should not forget that Congress lost several elections under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.
