People strongly in favour of a BJP government in TS: Bandi
HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that BJP is the only potential alternative to BRS and the people have endorsed this in all the byelections held in the state in the last three years.
The Lok Sabha member was speaking at the ‘Booth Swasaktheekaran Abhiyan’ workshop in the party office here on Thursday.
Sanjay said organisationally, the BJP was very strong compared to BRS, Congress, and TDP.
In Telangana, the party has been building up its organisational strength, as the people have made up their mind to bring it to power in the next elections, he said. “We have formed 80 per cent of the 34,000-odd polling booth committees so far,” he said.
Sanjay dismissed the propaganda of the Congress and the BRS that the BJP had no candidates in many constituencies. In fact, there was a huge competition among local leaders in 56 Assembly constituencies, he said.
“We have been able to win people’s confidence by reacting to the local issues, besides highlighting the failures of the BRS government,” he said.
Present at the meeting were Tarun Chugh, Sunil Bansal, Arvind Menon, P. Sudhakar Reddy, N. Indrasena Reddy, Vijayashanthi, A.P. Jitender Reddy and Garikapati Mohan Rao.
Meanwhile, many party leaders demanded the resignation of municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao for his administrative failures, failing which he should be dismissed from the cabinet by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
The party leaders had assured the people of Telangana, when they came to power that they will play the role of watchdogs of the new state, but they have failed to control stray dogs, BJP leaders criticised.
Speaking to reporters, N.V.S.S. Prabhakar, Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy and N.V. Subhash said that the MLC election of Hyderabad local authorities constituency has exposed the unholy alliance of BRS and MIM.
