VIJAYAWADA: IT minister N. Lokesh, the Telugu Desam candidate from Mangalagiri, declared Rs 373 crore as his family assets in the affidavit that he filed with his nomination papers on Friday.
He listed Rs 253.68 crore worth immovable assets while and Rs 66.76 crore moveable assets. He had liabilities of Rs 5.72 crore.
Mr Lokesh claimed himself to be the cleanest politician as he reported no criminal case pending against him. He showed an annual income of Rs 1.19 crore in his returns filed with the I-T department during 2017-18. He showed an income of Rs 15.21 crore for his wife Brahmani and Rs 18.82 lakh for son Devansh.
Ms Brahmani immoveable assets of Rs 14.40 crore and son Devansh Rs 3.88 crore. Most of their immovable assets are in the form of shares in the family-owned Heritage Foods.
Mr Lokesh stated that he had 47,32,800 shares in HFL with the value of each share in the listed firm at about Rs 511.90. This took the value of shares he owned to Rs 242.27 crore. Ms Brahmani held 2.02 lakh shares of HFL worth Rs 10.34 crore.
