BJP will fight against YSRC, TD: GVL
VISAKHAPATNAM: Rajya Sabha member and senior BJP leader G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said his party would fight against the ruling YSRC government and the opposition Telugu Desam to weed out corruption in the state.
Addressing the general body meeting of the Visakhapatnam unit of the BJP, Narsimha Rao said both the ruling party and the opposition TD were misleading the public by slinging mud at the BJP. The party workers should be united in their fight against these two parties.
He asked to mark the completion of the nine-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, statewide general body meetings were being held, and this meeting was part of them. He said that under the leadership of Modi, the country made rapid developments in all sectors. With all the achievements, the BJP would go to the polls next year, Rao said.
BJP state general secretary and former MLC P.V.N. Madhav said that by filing the Praja Chargesheet, the BJP was exposing the corrupt practices of the ruling YSRC government.
He said there was a need to fight against the land grabs that had taken place over the last four years. Prime lands have been grabbed by people with links to the ruling and opposition parties, he said.
Former floor leader and state vice president of the party P. Vishnu Kumar Raju said Vizag would be in focus in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, scheduled to be held on May 28. Around 2,000 people will gather in one place, and the Prime Minister is expected to address them directly.
