TRS is BJP’s B-Team, alleges Congress
Hyderabad: Referring to the latest allegation of Union home minister Amit Shah that the ‘Kaleshwaram project was KCR’s ATM’, the Congress demanded that he should clarify why he had failed to direct the CBI, ED, income-tax department and other agencies to initiate action against the Chief Minister.
Responding to Amit Shah’s speech in Munugode, Congress leaders asked Shah to state whether or not the Centre intended to take action against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. “Is it because TRS is BJP's B-team," asked Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and others in a joint statement.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said everyone knew that BJP and TRS indulged in 'gali mein kushti, Delhi mein dosti (fighting in the lanes, friends in Delhi)’. “Shah's statement on KCR's corruption without any action has only endorsed the Congress’ contention that they are secret allies.”
"It was quite surprising to watch Amit Shah speak about failed promises and rising inflation. For a moment, we thought that he was exposing the BJP government at the Centre which failed to deliver on promises like 2 crore jobs every year, `15 lakh in each bank account, or the much-hyped 'achhe din'," he said.
Bhatti felt that the BJP government has betrayed the people by not fulfilling the promises made to the new state in the AP Reorganisation Act, which included the Kazipet railway coach factory and Bayyaram steel plant. He said that the BJP government did not grant national status to the Palamuru Ranga Reddy project. He asked about the turmeric board which was promised by Nizamabad MP on a stamp paper.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, former PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah wondered why the BJP which time and again spoke of massive corruption in the state has failed to initiate action against the Chief Minister.
