Thummala's Supporters Meet to Discuss His Future
KHAMMAM: Former minister and BRS leader Thummala Nageshwar Rao’s supporters on Tuesday met at Satyanarayapuram in Khammam Rural mandal to decide on their future course of action.
Nageshwar Rao had announced that he will contest from Paleru assembly constituency in Khammam district. However, the party has announced the candidature of K. Upender Reddy from Paleru.
In 2018, Nageshwar Rao had been defeated by Congress candidate K. Upender Reddy. He subsequently joined the ruling BRS.
Upsetting the former minister, BRS has announced that Upender Reddy will be the party’s candidate from Paleru.
Following this, the former minister’s supporters have met and passed a resolution asking him to take a decision about the future course of action as early as possible.
Nageshwar Rao, who is in Hyderabad, is expected to return to Khammam in about two days. He will hold discussions with his supporters before deciding on his future course of action.
