Rambabu suggests Balakrishna to grab TD's control
Vijayawada: Minister for water resources Ambati Rambabu has urged MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna to make good use of the present situation in the TD and take control of the party.
“Show the glory of the Nandamuri clan,” he told Balakrishna, adding that the assembly is not the TD’s party office. Balakrishna and other legislators should discuss public issues in the assembly, he said while talking to the media on Friday.
He said, “We are ready to discuss Chandrababu’s arrest and corruption anytime, anywhere. We proposed a discussion on the arrest and the APSSDC scam but TD members were not ready. They escaped from the house. What the TD wants is not a debate but ‘raccha’ (ruckus).”
Objecting to the twirling of moustaches by Balakrishna, Rambabu said, “This is the time he should come out with the sword. Here is a good opportunity for Balakrishna to help in the survival of his father NTR’s party. There were rumours that Balakrishna did not help NTR at a difficult time. Now, he has a great opportunity to prove his worth.”
“Balakrishna’s brother-in-law (Naidu) is in jail and his son-in-law (Lokesh) is in Delhi. This opportunity will not come to him again to seize the reins of the party. You have won as MLA twice and made Naidu chief minister, your son-in-law (Lokesh) became a minister without winning the poll. You won the polls twice but could not become a minister. Your brother Harikrishna was given the post of minister but he was later kept aside. See how much injustice has been done to your family,” the minister told Balakrishna.
