KCR funding Sravanthi to defeat Rajgopal, says Bandi

HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar claimed on Sunday that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was funding Congress candidate Palvai Sravanthi to split the Opposition vote in order to defeat Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy.

He accused the TRS, the Left parties, and the Congress of working together to defeat the BJP. All surveys indicated that the BJP would, which kept the Chief Minister up all night with worry, he said. “All surveys indicate the victory of BJP, but TRS social media wing is spreading false propaganda.”

Addressing a gathering in Munugode constituency, Sanjay said, "We have information that the TRS recently funded the CPI national council meetings and protected a senior CPM leader in a murder case in Khammam district.”

He said that the Munugode byelection would decide the future of the state and will end TRS rule. He asserted that the Chief Minister had “fled his farmhouse” because of the aggressive BJP campaigning.

Regarding the TRS leaders' claims that the BJP had complained to the Election Commission and got the sheep distribution programme stopped, Sanjay said he had never submitted any letter on the matter. “I am prepared to take a vow in this regard in a temple if the Chief Minister is willing to do so," he said.

He asked why the police did not seize cash, gold, and alcohol when TRS leaders were openly distributing them in the constituency. Additionally, he charged some industrialists with raising funds for the TRS to buy votes.

Sanjay mocked at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, which entered Telangana on Sunday, calling it a Congress-TRS Jodi (combine) Yatra and questioned what the party had accomplished for the nation while in power.

BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr K. Laxman, BJP MLA Etala Rajendar, party secretary Y. Satya Kumar, former MLAs N.V.S.S. Prabhakar, Chintala Ramchandra Reddy and others were present.
