HYDERABAD: Denying the claims of AIMIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi that the Santoshnagar police station house officer had gone to the dais while he was addressing a public meeting, the city police said that there was no evidence to show that the officer had actually done so, said southeast zone DCP B. Rohith Raju.
"We have gone through all the evidence that is available with the police, flying squad teams, media channels, SB resource centre and the smart media investigation team in the police commissioner office but there was no evidence to substantiate Akbaruddin’s claims," he added.
Police booked a hate speech case against Akbaruddin Owaisi and for obstructing police from doing their duty during a public meeting at Moin Bagh of Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency Tuesday night.
