Congress Taps Tamil Nadu MP Manickam Tagore To Resuscitate Andhra Pradesh Unit

Vijayawada: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed Tamil Nadu MP Manickam Tagore as the new in charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs, aiming to breathe new life into the party's struggling state unit.

Filling a void left by the vacancy for several years, Tagore, representing the Virudhunagar constituency, arrives on the scene just as election notifications are expected within the next few months. The pressure is on for him to rally the troops and strategise a comeback for the Congress in Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

APCC leaders, including chief Gidugu Rudra Raju and senior members like Sunkara Padmasri and Kolanukonda Sivaji, have warmly welcomed the appointment. They see Tagore's experience and dynamism as crucial ingredients in the party's revival efforts.
