Netizens censure Chandrababu Naidu, YSRC chief
Vijayawada: The attitude of both TD and YSRC chiefs has attracted the attention of netizens. While YSRC president Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that TD people involved in land grab would be thrown into the Bay of Bengal, TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has courted controversy by saying that he, too, could offer Rs 5,000 per vote.
Some pro-TD netizens alleged on Facebook that some media channels had shown the CM’s message in a poor light by twisting his statements.
The CM, while interacting with villagers, had asked them why voters should be given Rs 5,000 for vote. “You are taking the pension and ration given by me and walking on the roads, which my government has laid. How come you evade from voting for me,” the CM said during the interaction, which had led to a discussion among the netizens.
While some have supported his statement, majority opposed the kind of words that CM uttered.
“As a seasoned politician, the CM should not have spoken like that,” Badri Narayna, a netizen, felt on his FB post.
Another social media activist Hitesh Mandava suggested TD fans and sympathisers to boycott news programmes of a vernacular channel for 48 hours, from Saturday 9 am to Monday 9 am. This posting was shared by 41 people and 160 netizens liked his plea.
Similarly, YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy also lost control during his speech and said TD leaders involved in land scams would be thrown into the Bay of Bengal, which has also become the topic of discussion among netizens on FB and other social platforms.
One N. Sankarababu has suggested Mr. Jagan mohan Reddy that if he stops talking about the TD and its chief Chandrababu Naidu, then a way would be cleared for him towards winning more number of seats. “Losing temper and alleging unnecessarily doesn’t guarantee any support from the masses,” T. Bhavanna-rayana suggested Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. and added why he would not concentrate on building the party in a democratic way.
