Politics is to capture power, no place for emotions: Ram Madhav
Warangal: The BJP is moving ahead with one agenda — to capture power in every state in the country — BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said on Sunday.
Addressing party cadre at the state executive committee meeting here, he said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party was surging ahead with anti-corruption agenda like demonetisation and economic reforms like GST.
This was the first time Mr Madhav is taking part in a party programme in the state and in south India.
Calling the BJP the most organised party in the world, he urged the cadre to work towards strengthening the party come to power in the state in 2019.
Mr. Madhav told party workers to maintain discipline to get results. He said the aim of politics was to capture power. “There is no place for emotions in politics. Politics has to be cold-blooded. When the party calls, everyone from the booth-level worker to the national leaders must be ready to serve. Coming to power is not enough, we need to ensure that every last person in the country is happy,” he said.
He said Mr Modi had earned a name for himself as a global leader. “The party must be proud of this. His incorruptible leadership has raised the bar for all the politicians. With his vision, the party is on a transformative vision,” Mr Madhav said.
He said the BJP would fight against the “undemocratic” and “anti-people” agenda of the TRS government. He opposed the idea of religion based reservation and said the BJP was not against any religion but against religious politics.
